It’s Superman ID Thursday, friends!! I feel like a kid on Christmas—eagerly opening presents and then obsessing over them until the next one. The most anticipated single since 2024 (I think) is finally here. ‘World is Mine’ is officially ours. Out today for New Music Thursday on This Never Happed, it’s another release from Daniel’s upcoming Cross Pollination 2. You can listen on any streaming platform now. This marks the fifth single out of what we’re hoping will be 13 tracks on the full project.

‘World is Mine’

‘World is Mine’ really shows how well Lane 8, Kasbo, and Bjoern come together. Kasbo and Bjoern laid the emotional foundation early, shaping the core idea and feeling. You can hear that in the soft textures and melodic phrasing that drive the track. Lane 8 then steps in and sharpens the arrangement, adding structure and momentum. His influence shows in the pacing and the way the track opens up naturally. It feels like each artist builds on the other, instead of competing for space.

The vocal is where Bjoern’s impact really stands out. That “soothe my mind” line carries the whole track and gives it identity. The delivery feels understated but emotional, never overpowering the production. It blends into the layers and becomes part of the atmosphere. That balance makes the track feel honest and complete. It’s what turned a long-time ID into something that fully connects. The melody and lyrics lift you without trying too hard, and it doesn’t even say “Superman.” The steady 4/4 rhythm keeps me smiling the whole time. It’s one of those feelings that’s hard to put into words.

I feel really grateful to be a part of this record. Kasbo and Bjoern both brought so much magic to the song and all I tried to do was put an exclamation point on that magic. Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Is it a humming hotline hit? I hope you all enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it and playing it out over the last year.

Kasbo goes onto saying:

When I first started the idea with BJOERN we both felt we had something special. I sent the idea over to Lane 8 who just made sense of the track, when I heard his version I felt like I finally understood the song and what it was. In the end it became something really special and an interesting blend between our two worlds. Seeing the reactions live and online has been such a treat and something I’ve never seen before on a track I’ve been a part of. So excited to finally have it out in the world.

I will always know it as Superman ID even though it is ‘World is Mine’ which we love. This feel good track is going to be a classic and probably one we will be hearing through Daniel’s shows to come. Through TNH’s 10 years and summer gatherings that are upcoming.

Cross Pollination 2

Lane 8 is rolling out Cross Pollination 2 in a way that keeps fans fully locked in. He plans to release 13 tracks in total, and we’re now five deep. Instead of dropping everything at once, he’s spacing them out and letting each record breathe. Each release feels like its own moment, but you can already hear the bigger story forming.

So far, the tracks have shown a wide range of sounds while staying true to his core style. Some lean into deeper, club-driven energy, while others feel more melodic and reflective. ‘World is Mine’ stands out as one of the most anticipated, especially after living as an ID for so long. The earlier singles have slowly built the tone of the project, giving hints of what’s coming next. With eight tracks still to go, there’s a real sense that the full picture is still unfolding, and that’s what makes this rollout so exciting.
